Our product

The problem is there is hardly any high visibility gear for skateboarding at night, and most skaters don’t wear what exists because it looks lame.

For skaters in need of visibility wear they can be seen in without looking like a fool, Goose Tape provides a high light adhesive that can be added to any board or attire.

Our campaign

Skaters would never buy a new safety product marketed as such, which is why we have made it a safety product FOR BIRDS, with skaters wearing it as an afterthought.

Our campaign will roll out in 2 phases, organised around public statements printed in skate magazines from Goose Tape’s fictional CEO following a story line. The story is told from the stage of pre release, to full release. The narrative starts with the CEO discouraging skaters from exhausting the limited supplies of the product, to accepting their interest and encouraging them to share in the excellent product.

Phase 1

In this phase the product is yet to be released to the general public. The only way a skater can get it is through being sponsored by Goose Tape on social media or collecting a sample from the magazine spread shown on the right. Social media helps to generate initial buzz for the product, any post tagging @goosetape invites goose bot accounts to hijack the post and make funnily menacing comments.

Phase 2

In this phase the Goose Tape CEO presents an ultimatum to skaters if they want to gain access to his product. He demands iconic skater Tony Hawk to change his name to Tony Goose. After the conclusion of this high profile publicity stunt Goose Tape is completely released in skate shops.
